Pip is one of the best known and most respected solo performers in the world. His award-winning performances of Adolf, Chaplin, Maggie, Churchill, Hunchback and Dickens have toured in more than 26 countries to great acclaim, winning many awards for both writing and performance. Recently he received the Stage Special Award for Excellence, the Valery Kashnov International award for his ‘lasting influence on world monodrama’ and a Lifetime achievement Award from the Turkish Ministry of culture for his ‘contribution to World Theatre’.

His new, moving and affectionate performance is about the devastating effects of Alzheimer’s disease, not only on the sufferer but on family, friends and carers.

Pip’s renowned for his ability to ‘break the fourth wall’ and speak directly with the audience, involving them with the emotions, sharing the highs and the lows, making them an essential part of the performance. This play is no different.

Based on his and his brother’s experiences of seeing their mum deteriorate and die from Alzheimer’s three years after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at 68, and on Pip’s intensive research, Pip’s character takes the audience on a journey full of smiles, laughter, respect and tears.
